Gestation for queens is normally 65 days. To learn about
the gestation process and calculate your queen's due date, visit Feline Gestation Calendar.
El Sham did a great job in explaining how the gestation
matures from conception once you put in your breeding date (Ask
your breeder when the queen to your upcoming kitten was bred). To learn about the development cycle after the kittens are born and more go to the Adoption page.

Breeding for health and personality is Paramount at Bemisu, followed by conformation to breed standards. Pedigrees are closely scrutinized to ensure proper out crossing and to enlarge the sphynx gene pool. We attend shows to meet and work with other dedicated breeders. Most sphynx in our program come from breeders with our same breeding philosophies and ethics. All of our breeding females are blood-typed to ensure "blood type compatibility". If they are blood type B, it will be important to breed them only to other B males. Ask your veterinarian what his/her procedure is for blood typing. Some vets will do the lab work in house. Others will send it out to the nearest University in their area. If you have further questions about this procedure please email Blake Gipson.
